Clint Borgen met with Congressman Jim McDermott to discuss the prospect of U.S. leaders playing a stronger role in the international effort to end severe poverty and hunger. The Borgen Project is working to get the Millennium Development Goals on the agenda of both parties before the 2008 elections and Borgen will meet with several key political leaders over the coming months. Congressman Jim McDermott is a senior member on the Ways and Means Committee, and many Americans know him from an interview in the movie Fahrenheit 911.
