23.5 Million People Answer the Call

Over the last 24-hours, people in cities around the world have taken part in the global Stand Up Against Poverty event. With 23.5 million participants the event has set the world record for the most number of people to take a stand against poverty. In Seattle, at an event near the Space Needle, the Borgen Project teamed up with RESULTS, the ONE Campaign and CARE to build awareness of the Millennium Goals.
